Cheap and last-minute cruises from Boston

On 3 November 2026 the lowest starting fare from Boston was $679 per person, two sharing, with taxes and fees included, and the lowest per night was $60. Ships leave Boston from April to October, so a last-minute cruise from here is a spring, summer or fall booking. Our fare records are too new to show whether waiting lowers a fare, so we do not guess.

A low cruise fare from Boston is a starting price for one person in the cheapest cabin listed, with a second person sharing. This guide shows where the low fares are, what gets added on top and what we can and cannot say about booking late.

We list fares and do not sell cruises. For the current lists, see cheap cruises, sorted by fare and by fare per night, and last-minute cruises, which shows every sailing in the next 60 days.

What are the cheapest cruises from Boston?

Norwegian Breakaway's 7-night Bermuda round trips in spring. When we wrote this on 3 November 2026, the lowest fares on the whole schedule were all Breakaway Bermuda sailings between April and June 2027. On 3 November 2026 the lowest starting fare from Boston was $679 per person, two sharing, with taxes and fees included.

By length, these were the lowest fares on 3 November 2026:

9 nights1$904$100
10 nights7$913$91

25 nights2$12,666$507

Each figure is the lowest at that length, so the figures come from different ships and months. Holland America's longest voyages are in the Europe row of the next table. Fares change daily, and the cheap cruises page has the current order.

Which cruises from Boston cost least per night?

One-way trips that end in another city, then the spring Bermuda trips. On 3 November 2026 the lowest fare per night from Boston was $60. When we wrote this on 3 November 2026, that was Norwegian Breakaway's 14-night one-way trip of 8 November 2026 to New Orleans, followed by one-way trips to Fort Lauderdale and Quebec City.

By route, these were the lowest on 3 November 2026:

RouteSailingsLowest fareLowest per night
Bermuda40$679$97
Canada and New England74$839$95
Caribbean, one way6$839$60
Europe and transatlantic3$4,734$265

Every Bermuda trip is a 7-night round trip on the same ship, so the fare differences come down to the date. Canada and New England has the widest choice of ships and lengths, from Norwegian Breakaway's weeks to long one-way voyages on small luxury ships, and our luxury cruises guide covers the top of that range.

Are one-way cruises from Boston a cheap option?

Per night they can be, but they end somewhere else, and getting home costs extra. On 3 November 2026 the lowest per-night fare on a one-way trip from Boston was $60, against $97 on a round trip. One-way trips from here end in Quebec City, Montreal, Fort Lauderdale, San Juan, New Orleans or Rotterdam.

On Canada and New England trips alone, the lowest per night was $95 one way and $120 for a round trip on 3 November 2026.

We do not price flights, so add your own fare home before you compare. A one-way trip that ends in Canada also changes your documents. CBP says U.S. citizens flying into the United States need a valid U.S. passport or a Trusted Traveler card such as NEXUS. On a round trip that starts and ends in Boston, they can re-enter with a birth certificate and a government-issued photo ID, though the countries you visit may still ask for a passport. The cruise documents guide has the detail.

The Caribbean one-way trips leave in October and November, at the end of the Boston season, and the Caribbean guide covers them.

What does a cruise fare from Boston include?

Every fare on this site is per person, for the cheapest cabin listed, based on two people sharing, with taxes and fees included. The cheapest cabin is usually an interior, but on some ships it is an ocean view, a balcony or a suite, so check the cabin type before you compare two fares.

Booking sites do not always show the same total. When we checked on 3 November 2026, Cruisebound's page for Norwegian Breakaway's 2 May 2027 sailing marked its interior fare as excluding taxes and port fees. A figure you see there can therefore sit below ours for the same cabin.

The same page listed meals, water, juice, coffee and tea, shows and the ship's facilities as included in the fare. Drinks packages, gratuities, Wi-Fi, specialty dining, spa packages and shore excursions were listed as add-ons.

How much do gratuities add to a cheap cruise from Boston?

Norwegian, Celebrity, Royal Caribbean, Holland America and Princess add a daily gratuity for each guest. On 3 November 2026 their own pages gave $18 to $20 a day per guest in a standard cabin. For two people on a 7-night trip that comes to $252 to $280, by our arithmetic, whatever the cabin cost.

These were the rates on the lines' pages on 3 November 2026:

LineStandard cabin, per guest per daySuites, per guest per dayTwo people, 7 nights, standard cabin
Norwegian$20$25 for The Haven and suites$280
Celebrity$19.50$20.50 for Concierge and AquaClass, $24.50 for The Retreat$273
Royal Caribbean$18.50$21$259
Holland America$18$20$252
Princess$18$19 for mini-suites and Club Class, $20 for suites$252

Norwegian charges guests aged 3 and older. Royal Caribbean and Celebrity say their gratuities are optional and can be changed on board, and Holland America says its rates can change without notice. Princess folds the charge into its Princess Plus and Premier packages.

That amount does not shrink with the fare, so it weighs most on the lowest fares. Parking and getting to the port are extra as well. The parking guide and the Logan Airport guide cover those costs.

Are last-minute cruises from Boston cheaper?

We cannot say. Our fare records are too new to show how a Boston fare moves as sailing gets closer, so we will not guess which way yours will go. What we can show is today's list: the last-minute page has every sailing in the next 60 days with the fare we last checked.

Comparing that list with the cheap cruises page compares different sailings, not one sailing over time, so read it as a snapshot.

When can you book a last-minute cruise from Boston?

Only in season. Ships leave Boston from April to October on the schedule we track, with nothing in winter. When we checked on 3 November 2026, the only sailing in the next 60 days was Norwegian Breakaway's 14-night one-way trip of 8 November 2026 to New Orleans. The next season starts on 18 April 2027.

These are the departures in each month of the season, with the lowest fare in 2027 on 3 November 2026:

Month20272028Lowest fare in 2027
April23$729
May54$679
June66$749
July79$849
August66$899
September1921$839
October1414$889

September and October have the most departures, so a late booking has the widest choice then. In April and May the schedule has only Norwegian Breakaway's Bermuda trips. Our cruise season guide explains what sails in each month.

What should you check before booking a cruise from Boston at short notice?

Check your documents first, because there is little time to replace a passport. A one-way trip that ends in Canada needs one for the flight home, and the cruise documents guide covers every case. Then check the travel to Boston and the current fare.

Does this site sell cheap cruises from Boston?

No. We list starting fares and do not sell cruises, so we cannot hold a price or a cabin. The fare you pay is whatever the seller shows when you book. Some of our fare and hotel links earn a commission, and the affiliate disclosure explains how.
