Every cruise from Boston to Bermuda on this schedule is a 7-night round trip on Norwegian Breakaway. It leaves on a Sunday afternoon, docks at the Royal Naval Dockyard at the west end of the island, and is back in Boston the next Sunday morning.

There are 40 of them, from 18 April 2027 to 20 August 2028. On 3 November 2026 fares ran from $679 to $1,249 per person, for the cheapest cabin listed with two sharing, taxes and port fees included. The trips come in a 2027 version and a 2028 version, and the difference between them matters more than the price. The table at the end of this guide lists every sailing.

How long is a Bermuda cruise from Boston?

Seven nights, Sunday to Sunday. Norwegian Breakaway leaves Boston at 4pm and is due back at 8am a week later, with three days at sea in both versions. The 2027 trips spend a day in Halifax and get about 29 hours in Bermuda. The 2028 trips get 48 hours.

These times come from the itineraries on sale.

A few dates differ. The sailings of 18 and 25 April 2027 leave Bermuda at 1pm. On 16 and 23 April 2028 the ship arrives at 4pm and 4:30pm on the Wednesday and leaves at 12:30pm on the Friday.

What is the difference between the 2027 and 2028 Bermuda cruises?

The 2027 trips stop at Halifax, Nova Scotia, on the way down and spend one night in Bermuda. The 2028 trips skip Halifax, sail straight to Bermuda and stay two nights, from Wednesday afternoon to Friday afternoon. The ship, the length and the number of sea days are the same.

If Bermuda is the point of the week, the 2028 version is the better one. It has a whole day there with no departure time hanging over it, and a second evening. The 2027 version suits you if a day in Canada appeals, and it still gives you most of a Thursday in Bermuda.

The evenings differ too. The Bermuda Tourism Authority says extra ferries carry cruise passengers into Hamilton on Wednesday evenings when Harbour Nights takes place. The 2028 ships are docked on Wednesday night, and the 2027 ships arrive on Thursday.

Two late sailings fall outside the summer run. After its fall season to Canada, Breakaway sails to Bermuda again on 24 and 31 October 2027, and both follow the 2027 pattern with the stop at Halifax.

Where does the cruise ship dock in Bermuda?

At the Royal Naval Dockyard, on every Bermuda sailing on this schedule. Norwegian Cruise Line calls Royal Naval Dockyard Bermuda's main cruise port, and the Bermuda Tourism Authority puts Dockyard at the westernmost point of the island. Hamilton, the capital, and St. George's at the east end are a ferry or bus ride away.

Dockyard has its own ferry stop, Dockyard Wharf on Dockyard Terrace, and a Visitor Information Centre that sells bus and ferry tokens and passes. For a beach day, the government lists bus route 7 for Horseshoe Bay.

How do you get from the Royal Naval Dockyard to Hamilton?

By ferry or by bus. The Blue Route ferry runs between Dockyard and Hamilton, and the Bermuda Tourism Authority puts the crossing at 15 to 20 minutes, against 60 minutes on the bus. Buses 7 and 8 both run between Hamilton and Dockyard, on different roads.

The government's route list sends route 7 by the South Shore beaches, the lighthouse and Somerset, and route 8 by Middle Road and the Clock Tower Mall. On the summer 2026 timetable the Blue Route ferry ran every day of the week, with extra trips on Wednesday evenings for Harbour Nights.

How much do Bermuda's ferries and buses cost?

An adult ferry ride on the Blue or Orange Route cost $5.00 cash when we checked on 3 November 2026, the same as a bus ride through more than three zones. A pass for unlimited buses and ferries cost $19.00 for one day and $31.50 for two. Children under 5 ride free.

These are the Government of Bermuda's fares as we read them on 3 November 2026.

FareAdultChild, 5 to 15
Ferry, Blue or Orange Route, cash$5.00$2.75
Ferry, Blue or Orange Route, token$4.50$2.75
Bus, up to 3 zones, cash$3.50$2.75
Bus, more than 3 zones, cash$5.00$2.75
Pass for buses and ferries, 1 day$19.00$9.50
Pass, 2 days$31.50$16.00
Pass, 3 days$44.00$22.00

Cash fares take exact change in coins only. The government says dollar bills are not accepted and drivers do not make change. Tokens and passes are sold at the Visitor Information Centre in Dockyard, and the government's Shorelink app sells them online.

Passes run on consecutive days. A 2-day pass covers the Thursday and Friday of a 2027 trip, and a 3-day pass covers Wednesday to Friday on a 2028 one. At those fares, four ferry rides paid in cash come to $20.00 by our arithmetic, so a pass pays for itself once you plan two round trips in a day.

How do you get from Dockyard to St. George's?

The Orange Route ferry runs straight from Dockyard to St. George's, and the Bermuda Tourism Authority puts the trip at 45 minutes along the North Shore. The route is seasonal, and on the 2026 timetable it did not run on Sundays. By bus you change in Hamilton, which takes longer.

On the government's summer 2026 timetable, effective 6 April 2026, the Orange Route ran Monday to Saturday.

DaysLeave DockyardLeave St. George's
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday9:30am, 11:30am, 3pm, 5pm10:30am, 2pm, 4pm, 6pm
Tuesday and Friday9:30am, 11:30am, 3pm10:30am, 2pm, 4pm

The 2027 and 2028 timetables were not out when we checked on 3 November 2026, so read these times as the pattern, not a promise. The Bermuda Tourism Authority describes the route as running from May to October, while the 2026 summer timetable started on 6 April, so check the dates if you sail in April.

Thursday is the day for St. George's on either version. On Friday the ship sails at 3pm, and the 2pm ferry from St. George's would reach Dockyard at about 2:45pm by our arithmetic, which is far too close. On a 2028 Wednesday the ship arrives at 3pm and the last ferry back leaves St. George's at 6pm, which leaves little time once you get there.

By bus, take route 7 or 8 into Hamilton, then route 1, 3, 10 or 11 out to St. George's. The government says a transfer between bus routes is free if you take the next scheduled bus on the connecting route.

When do Bermuda cruises leave Boston?

Every Sunday from mid-April to late August, in both 2027 and 2028, plus the two late sailings of October 2027. In September and most of October, Norwegian Breakaway sails to Canada and New England instead, which our Canada and New England guide covers.

The National Hurricane Center gives the Atlantic hurricane season as 1 June to 30 November, with most activity between mid-August and mid-October. The April and May sailings come before the season starts, and the sailings from mid-August fall in the stretch the center says is most active. Our season guide shows what else leaves Boston each month.

How much is a Bermuda cruise from Boston?

On 3 November 2026 the lowest starting fare was $679 per person and the highest $1,249, for the cheapest cabin listed with two sharing, taxes and port fees included. The lowest that day worked out at $97 a night. Fares move often, so check the sailing you want.

The fare covers the cruise, not the trip to the port. If you drive, you need a week of cruise parking. If you fly in, the ship leaves at 4pm on a Sunday, so a Saturday night at one of the hotels near the Boston cruise port means a delayed flight cannot cost you the ship. Ashore, a bus and ferry pass for two or three days cost $31.50 or $44.00 an adult at the fares we read on 3 November 2026.

Do you need a passport for a Bermuda cruise from Boston?

U.S. Customs and Border Protection says U.S. citizens on a closed-loop cruise, one that starts and ends at the same U.S. port and stays in the Western Hemisphere, may come back with a government-issued photo ID and proof of citizenship such as a birth certificate. Norwegian still recommends a passport for every guest, because Bermuda is a British territory.

CBP also warns that the countries a ship visits may still ask for a passport. And if you had to leave the ship in Halifax or Bermuda and fly home, CBP says U.S. citizens need a passport to enter the United States by air from Canada or Bermuda, and the passport card is not accepted for international flights. Our cruise documents guide has the rest.

Can you sail to Bermuda from Boston on another ship?

Yes, on two one-way voyages heading south in the fall, though neither comes back to Boston. Jewel of the Seas calls at the Royal Naval Dockyard on its 10-night trip of 20 October 2028 to Fort Lauderdale. Windstar's Star Pride calls at Hamilton and St. George's on its trips of 22 October 2027 to San Juan.

The Jewel of the Seas sailing is listed by only one of the two sources we check, and the schedule marks it that way. Our Caribbean guide covers both voyages.
